High School Volunteers at the Cerritos Chinese School
The Cerritos Chinese School's High School Volunteer Program offers the opportunity for high school students with an interest in promoting Chinese culture, to learn more and share that knowledge with our students and guests while earning community service credit.
What is a High School Volunteer?
A High School Volunteer is between the ages of 16-18 who is interested in Chinese culture, education, and working with many different groups of people.
What do High School Volunteers do?
As a High School Volunteer, you will:
Work and interact with the students, parents, school staff and public guests
Provide and share information through short talks to visitors
Help with classes
Learn Chinese culture and school operations while working with school administration staffs
Meet other teens with similar interests
What do I have to do to become a High School Volunteer?
You must attend first day of school 9/12/09 to register with the High School Volunteer Program leader at Artesia High School.
What is the time requirement for a High School Volunteer?
32 weeks during School Year Session (mid-September-mid-June)
Three hours on Saturday each week
Shift times are: AM 9:00am-12:00pm
